It’s easy to install Windows 7 using a USB stick if your system has no CD/DVD drive

I was surprised by how straightforward this turned out to be.

This guide worked for me. Note that I needed to have an existing Windows system with the same architecture (i.e., 32-bit or 64-bit). This was so that I could run BOOTSECT.EXE off of the Windows install DVD. I didn’t check whether there is a native copy installed somewhere that I could have easily used instead.
